Enzyme Catalogue A-Z

Biocatalysis R&D

Oxidoreductases technology platform including alcohol, amine and amino acid dehydrogenases catalyzing the reduction of a variety of carbonyl compounds especially ketones and keto esters has been created by X-Zyme. These Biocatalysts show high enantioselectivity and own a very broad substrate range: besides keto esters, which are reduced to their corresponding chiral amines and hydroxy esters, a variety of different compounds like primery and secondary alcohols, aldehydes, ketoacetals, aliphatic and aromatic ketones, cyclic ketones and diketones can be converted with the help of a broad range of alcohol dehydrogenases. The emerging amines and hydroxy compounds arise in high enantiomeric purity.

Important properties concerning the application of these enzymes are the relatively broad pH optimum between pH 6.5 and 9.0, temperature optimum between 36 and 42 degrees C, and good stability.

X-Zyme Biotechnology also provides access to unique libraries of oxidoreductases variants and conducts the screening of these libraries for the selection of biocatalysts with desired properties.

This catalogue is primarily targeted to customers interested in purchasing our enzymes but I trust that it will provide you some useful information about our collection and technology

CTP - Colour-Tag-Protein® for screening of new biocatalysts NEWS
The Colour-Tag-Protein CTP exhibits an intensive yellow colour. Modifications by genetechnology resulted in interesting new colour variants that allow new applications for protein expression, purification and screening technology. The unique stability of CTP, its high solubility and the compact structure of the colour domain (only about 100 amino acids) are ideal for new applications. A patent protected technology secures the commercial development.
